Ashmore own goal hits Ashford survival bid...

ASHFORD TOWN'S hopes of escaping the Division One South relegation zone were hit by a late own goal on Wednesday. more:

Croydon 3 Whitstable Town 1
Despite the score line, losing to one of the league title favourites there was much for manager Mark Munday to be pleased about, not least the emergence of a crop of young players who acquitted themselves well against a very, very strong side. Match Report

Team NEWS

Youngsters start to make their mark with Munday.

With Stephen Baines, now a regular at the back and Joe Hitchings and Dave Stubbs both getting chances of late the signs are good for Town as manager Munday looks to climb away from the bottom half of the table. “Young Scott Heard did well tonight and I was delighted with his work rate and all round play, he will be feeling it after such a fast game but he has proved he can play at this level now it’s up to him to keep impressing me and if he performs like that he has every chance of getting in the side. After the teams performance tonight  I am looking forward to the weekends game against Eastbourne.
