With Whitstable Town’s game away to Whyteleafe called off; Ian Pullman back from Australia and finally cleared to play in the UK again turned out at the Belmont for the Reserves. Ian, who looked lively throughout scored one and assisted for Joe Hitchings who scored the second, the game against Chatham ending 2-2. Pulman saying after the game: “I knew that I needed a game, and it was a real test in such heavy conditions, that will stand me in good stead for Tuesday. The fact that the game today’s was called off may well be a blessing in disguise as I defiantly needed a game after nearly two months without playing.
Ashford’s 3-2 win over Horsham YMCA means that Whitstable are now bottom of the Ryman South. The other results that affect us were Chipstead who lost 3-2 to Worthing and Walton Casuals who lost 1-0 to Godalming Town.
