WHITSTABLE TOWN FC PLAYER PROFILES 2009/10
Kevin Fewell (Goalkeeper) Kevin is now playing in his fourth season with the club. Reached 150 first team games for the Town at the end of last season and has saved many points with some excellent goalkeeping Kevin who has also had a spell at Sittingbourne. .
Dylan MacVicker (Goalkeeper) A South African lad who is a real prospect for the future Has played 3 games for the first team playing his debut last season. He had to take on two penalty shoot outs during pre season..
Gareth Cornhill (Defender) Another player who has a real future in the game. He came through the Youth and Reserve set up at Whitstable and has very quickly established himself as an integral part of the first team. He has played 16 games in his debut year last term.
Sam Denly (Defender/Midfielder) Former Whitstable youth player who joined the club from Herne Bay in our inaugural season in the Ryman League. He has found a place in the centre of the back four and has proved a powerful solid defender - Also spent time with Ramsgate. Son of former Whitstable player Nick and brother of Kent Cricketer,Joe. He has now played 69 games up to the end of last season scoring 6 goals.
Gary Sayer (Defender) A versatile defender who can play on both flanks and in central defence. Another local lad who progressed through the ranks at Belmont Road and has amassed over 166 games for the Town up to the end of last season. He has also scored his first goal in the win against Tonbridge Angels in the Kent Senior Cup.
Steven Lloyd (Defender) A strong defender in his second spell with the Town rejoining at the start of this season. He originated from Herne Bay and joined us originally in the first season in Ryman League. During last season he had spells with Sittingbourne Faversham and back Herne Bay. He has played 44 and scored 2 goals in his previous spell at the Belmont
Dan Tanner (Defender) Dan is a former Whitstable Youth team who is his third spell with the Oystermen. He played only one game in his first spell and three in his second. A rock in the back four he rejoined us from Ramsgate at the start of the season.
Tom Parker (Defender/Midfielder) Tommy “Guns” is a gifted left footed versatile player who is another player who has progressed through the Youth ranks at Belmont Road. Tom is a Whitstable lad who has shown the club real loyalty making his debut for the club in 2003. He has now amassed 138 games scoring two goals
Clint Gooding (Midfielder) Clint is now the experienced general in midfield who joined the club from Kent League side Lordswood. Played for Gravesend & Northfleet in an FA Cup tie against Aston Villa. A real quality tenacious player who would have played more games for Town if he had not suffered a number of injuries during his time with us. Has played 56 games scoring 1 goal. He also had a spell at Sittingbourne.
Alex Hossick (Midfielder) In his second spell with the Town playing in the Kent league Championship winning side and then playing in the first season in the Ryman. Injury kept him out of the team a long period and he joined Canterbury City during last season. Now back to full fitness, we are pleased to welcome him back to the fold. Dan Dolton (Midfielder) A strong midfielder who rejoined this season from Ramsgate after spending some time on loan from Ramsgate last term. During his first period he played 10 games, He also had a spell at Margate.
Dominic Elmes (Striker) Ex Chatham striker who broke his leg in 2007. Re-started his career back in our reserves last season and also had 1 appearance scoring one goal. Has impressed and has now signed for the first team. Also had a spell with Dartford.
Stuart Vahid (Striker) A key signing for the 2009/2010 season, Stuart has signed from Deal Town. He is a target man who will provide strength up front. He impressed in pre season and potentially could provide us with a number of goals this term. He played most of his career with Ramsgate.
Dan Wisker (Striker) A young talented striker player who arrived at the club during last season from near neighbours Margate. He has the potential to move up in the game and can be the type of player who can change a match with one moment of skill
