Picture: Gareth Cornhill: “Firstly; we need to be focused on the match against Worthing tomorrow (Saturday) at the KRBS BELMONT (weather permitting). If that does not go ahead then the same applies to the game against Sittingbourne next Tuesday. Despite the poor result at Leatherhead, which believe me was very disappointing and its one we will learn from, there were positives to come out of the game. Firstly; I was very pleased with Tom Parker who had a really solid game, and late on Gareth Cornhill reminded us all of what he can do. Not only scoring but also his overall work-rate was good, I was less pleased with other areas but they will be addressed and we shall look to the positives and get back to basics. I reminded the lads we have been one of the leagues form teams, been on a good run of five or six games and that’s the sort of form we need to replicate again. I was disappointed that we did not play on Wednesday particularly as Eastbound won, but a glance at the table will tell you we are not isolated at the bottom of the pile, there are plenty of points still to play for and we will be doing our level best to progress up the table. |
