Reserves manager up-beat about players… New Whitstable Town reserve team manager Richard Baines says his phone has not stopped ringing since he took the job at Whitstable. “Just shows the level of interest there is in the club and the prospect of these young lads developing to play their football in the Ryman League. “There are some very, very good players at the club, add one or two and we should be able to say to Mark, (Munday 1st team manager) this young lad is ready to step up which is how I see my job, moving player on. “Yes it would be nice to win the league players always want to do that, but my job is a bit like a production line getting the lads ready for the first team. “We will play the same system as the first team, train with the first team so that whenever one of my lads gets the chance they know the system and just as important the manager and the first team players. Baines who will use his vast contacts in local football and further a field is certain he can attract to quality players to the club. “I want to play the type of football that local supporters will be keen to watch, so that when the fist team are away they can be certain of some entertaining football at the KRBS Belmont..
